  13. InfoSpy is a general purpose Windows environment viewer allowing you view
  14. Heap, Tasks, Windows, Classes, Modules, File Handles, DOS and Memory
  15. Information.  You can trace messages, stack and set up automatic timers
  16. to provide real-time tracing on virtually every aspect of Windows.

  18. The new System Sentry library lets you monitor Windows program usage, control
  19. what Windows programs can be executed, disallow users from running programs,
  20. disable the CTRL-ALT-DEL keys under Windows, and disable entire directories.

  22. InfoSpy has been updated to run under Windows 95. Still a 16 app but ALL
  23. functions work and provide accurate information for the Win95 environment!!

  25. InfoSpy has full task scheduling capability allowing you to schedule the
  26. execution of programs, Windows shutdown, Windows Restart, System Warmboot
  27. & Coldboot and the termination of any task.

  29. The Screen Capture Utility allows you to capture the entire desktop, a
  30. specific window or cut a portion of the screen to the clipboard. You can
  31. save the captured image as a bitmap too.

  33. The DLL search utility will examine any local or network drive for all
  34. programs that reference DLLs in order to provide a list of unreferenced
  35. DLLs. In addition, all duplicate DLLs are displayed with an option to
  36. delete the duplicates.

  38. The ICON search will examine any file, directory or drive for files
  39. containing ICONS and will list them (and draw them) in a convenient list.

  65.       InfoSpy will require 1 megabyte on your hard drive
  66.       and there are no memory or configuration requirements.

  102.    screen that appears when starting the unregistered version as well as
  103.    the word <unregistered> generously placed througout the program. The
  104.    code size of the registered version is 50k smaller too! We had

  113.  - Added Option on {\b SPY} menu to lookup local atoms.
  114.  - Corrected DLL search on all drives so that it doesn't hang halfway through.
  115.  - Enhanced DLL search on all drives to only prompt for drives that exist.
  116.  - Added ability to 'Delete' global and local atoms by Double Clicking on the
  117.    atom in the list. This procedure is restricted to very specific types of
  118.    atoms, so do not expect it to work globally!

  125.    Search utility that can be used to search for text in any type of file.

  129.    Duplicate file search will search a single or multiple local or network
  130.    drive(s) looking for duplicate files. The File Find will find any files

  132.    of the selection criteria. The resulting list will load an unlimited size
  133.    file viewer with a double click or will delete the selected file with the
  134.    right button click. Also Print, Clipboard and Save functionality.

  136.  - Corrected a bug in the Task list routine that caused a GPF in certain
  137.    circumstances.
  138.  - Updated System Snapshot so that you can specify a daily time for the
  139.    snapshot to take place (as well as every x minutes). For example, this would
  140.    allows users to automatically have a snapshot done every evening at 9:00pm.

  143.  - Added new InfoSpy Scheduler program. This 17k program contains all the
  144.    functionality to perform the InfoSpy program and system event scheduling
  145.    using the Scheduler DLL.
  146.  - New function to get a SYSTEM SNAPSHOT saved to a disk file. The snapshot
  147.    can be set to happen every x minutes automatically and you can select the
  148.    file name and optionaly select any of: Running Tasks, Loaded Modules,
  149.    Open Files, Memory Usage by Task, Memory Information and Heap Information.
  150.    Each report in the snapshot contains comprehensive details.
  151.  - Added Registration Key capability. You can now change your shareware
  152.    version to a registered version by entered a coded Registration Key that
  153.    you will receive from Dean Software.
  154.  - The Setup program now has an UnInstall feature to remove InfoSpy from

  156.  - The Setup recognizes the prior use of a registration key so that when new
  157.    software is installed it will remain registered. It will also detect

  161.  - Added new scheduler option to schedule a job list. Job list allows you to
  162.    sequence 8 programs to run one after another, each one waiting until the
  163.    last one is finished before starting. You can place a time limit on each

  165.  - Updated the scheduler setup window to contain an edit field showing the
  166.    name of the job list file, thus allowing multiple job files to be
  167.    maintained.
  168.  - Corrected bug in scheduler setup window that did not retain certain

  178.    button for space seperation on logs.
  179.  - Default User ID on Preferences window now specifies 5 characters minimally
  180.    requied.
  181.  - Fixed RESOURCE LEAK in Task List window.
  182.  - Removed call to BIVBX11.DLL in the SENTRY.EXE file. If a user did not have
  183.    this DLL on their system then SENTRY would not run.

  199. the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  200. please do not give it away altered or as part of another system. The
  201. essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer
  202. users with quality software without high prices, and yet to provide
  203. incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products. If you
  204. find this program useful and find that you are using InfoSpy and
  205. continue to use InfoSpy after a reasonable trial period, you must
  206. make register it!  The registration fee will license one copy for use
  207. on any one computer at any one time.

  222. first contact Dean Software Design at the indicated address for

  225. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering InfoSpy
  226. immediately (However Dean Software Design must still be advised so that
  227. the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of InfoSpy).

  249. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before
  250. buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you
  251. are expected to register. Individual programs differ on details --
  252. some request registration while others require it, some specify a
  253. maximum trial period. With registration, you get anything from the
  254. simple right to continue using the software to an updated program with
  255. printed manual.
